Wolf let me know when you get to 10,000 on UB. That's where I am playing right now. If they win at UB then he is a Pokergenius!
Good luck on your tour PG! |

I purchased the profiles...like I do just about everything that comes along on this board. I have a few comments...take them at face value.
1) The preflop is very solid on both (Huey + Duey) profiles. There is no capping with KJo or A9o to pump up the simulator results. The preflop reminds me very much of the preflo from the King Yao book. I would be suprised if alot of it isnt based on that book. He seems to play Suited kings and one gap connectors from the button positions with the correct preflop odds. Aggressive in late position with steal hands. Overall very very solid preflop. great start.
2) The post flop seems solid. There is very little jamming of draws and underpairs and overcards. Those type of plays will lead to better sim results but will get you killed in live games. It does seem to win an excessively high % of hands played. That could mean that it is giving away some pots with tigh folds on the river. Not a bad thing but may be able to get a few more bets by loosening up the river strats.
3) Extra settings are conservative. The BAF is another area where you could artificially pump up the sim results if you wanted to. These profiles do not do that. If anything they are more conservative than most of us would be used to. This leads me to believe that the post flop strats play well because the return is not derived from over-aggression.
Now underdstand that I have not spent 1 minute running these preofiles yet. I have no live results. But if you have seen as many profiles as I have it does not take a long time to go thru them and get a feel for the basic play. I would say at first glance these seem to be very well constructed.
Now watch everyone go out and get killed at the live tables. lol. This is just a short review from someone who already went ahead and spent the money to buy these. Take it for what its worth.

No problem....played a little today, only about 1400 hands, down a bit but I take that with a grain of salt as Sundays are hit or miss. I was quite a bit up but ran into a ton of guys hitting their draws on me. Looks like it may have potential though. |

Hehe, Yea I have read King Yao.. but the profiles arn't based directly off any books. I think I've read over 30 books now, so a combination of all the best strategys combined with knowledge from my on play.. minus -EV hands from PokerTracker after 30,000+ hands.. thats where the preflop came from.
Of course preflop totally changes depending on the type of game your in.. so It's hard to come up with 1 good preflop strategy.
Thanks for the kind review anyway. |

Just a quick update on the UB front. I only have 2500 hands in at .25/.50, so obviously this isn't anything big, but I'm currently $20 down. But on a good note, I looked at the stats in PT, and my 3 biggest losing hands right now are AQo, KK and KJs. Now, I KNOW that these hands will be good winners in the long run, they just hit some bad luck early on. So, if these hands were winning at their normal pace, I'd be much better off right now. Unfortunatly I don't have the bankroll right now to keep playing this level, for the time being I'm going to go back to the .05/.10 and getting the weekly bonuses to build it back up. I just wanted to say that I think these profiles have the potential to at least be a small winner on UB. I just wish they had a better inbetween level like .10/.20 or .15/.30.
BTW, I started off doing a switch between Huey and Luey, wasn't doing too well, so I started playing Huey straight up and was having better success. Man, I love these names!! LOL |

ok.. I'm sure I will be able to crack Ultimate Bet once we get enough data. In theory it is impossible not to be able to beat a particular poker game, you just need to anaylse the players and then develop the correct strategy to beat them. The only thing that can make this harder is if the players are constantly changing, but I don't think this is the case on Ultimate Bet. More likely it is that all the 'bots' are programmed by the book with Tight Aggressive play, so if you play what is generally considered correct poker 'tight and aggressive' you will either break even or lose.
If everyone who purchases this package can please email me there Poker Tracker stats for each profile at each limit.. I can start to build a new profile specifically for UB.
As I said before, I will not be playing anymore myself.. but I'm still interested in building new profiles (especially to beat higher limit games) as it will help my overall poker game in general.
All new profiles I create will be posted in my Yahoo Group FREE of charge to existing members... however the price will go up for new customers, so if your thinking of joining it's best (cheaper) to get in now.
Thanks.

I got these profiles a few days ago and in my opinion they are the best I have seen for sale, i'm sitting right around 4.5 bb/100 on pokerstars .25/.50 after 6000 hands.
Thanks genius, can't wait for your higher limit profile. |

Here is the latest feedback I have recieved:
1/ Reported wins using Duey on Ultimate Bet 0.5/0.10
2/ Reported wins using Huey on Hollywood/PokerRoom 0.15/0.30
3/ Reported wins using Huey on PokerStars 0.25/0.50
I'm still waiting for PT stats from people so I can begin tweaking the profiles, please email me if you have any data.
Thanks. _________________ [ PROFILES FOR SALE ]
