At around 5500 hands I tweak it a bit and now it looks quite good. Cool

Thanks for posting, which profile is this?

Any chance you can send me the hand history and copy of the tweaked profile upon reaching 10,000 hands.

Cheers.

I am running a modified version of Huey without pokertracker at +3.81BB/100BB after 8,000 hands at 25/50 on HW.

I dont like poker tracker and use poker office instead as it is much more user friendly, has built in graphing facilities and i essentially got it free after signing up to a poker site thru them.

I dont use this program 'live', instead i download my hand histories after each session.

I assume if you use poker tracker with OPI it uses the stored player stats on your database to define player types (i.e rock, fish, maniac etc) which will affect your opponent respect levels and the behaviour of your profile in certain circumstances.

I personally prefer my profiles to play 'straight up' at this level.

With regards to the the modifications i made to Huey, i used my own preferred starting hands and pre-flop play (not much difference, a bit tighter with slightly less aggression).

Post flop, i noticed huey would give it 'the big one' on the flop and then folding meekly on the turn and river. i.e fold top pair/top kicker against a re-raise with 3 to a straight on the board and only 1 opponent.

A lot of players at this level play straight and flush draws very aggressively on the turn so i do not want to lay down top pair at this point.

When i ran Huey straight up my showdown win was 75% +, which looks nice but was acheived by laying down top pair to a re-raise against 1 or 2 opponents and similar lay downs.

Maybe i'm a bit of a 'calling station' but it is amazing how often they turned out to have a middle or bottom pair or indeed nothing!

These are purely my own preferences overall i heartily recommend these profiles as a very solid basis for building your own profile or indeed to run as they are. Very Happy

Antifraud..... you are talking nonsense.

It's like anything else. Some are winning and some are losing. Same thing happened with Amalgam. More than a few experienced positive longterm results. But more than a few also reported losing as well. There were significant downswings AND upswings that lasted in excess of 5,000 hands. If you buy a profile and you start out on the downswing side of the variance, losing say 3 bb / 100 over 2500 - 5,000 hands, it is hard to tell yourself the profile is worth it. On the other hand if you are winning 2-4 Bb / 100 over the first 10,000 hands it is the greatest profile ever.

I obtained the Perfectseries via the poker sign-up program LetsdanceNL ( where is he anyway?) offered after readig the many positive posts in the forum. I couldnt win with that even on Paradise, losing $150 on less than 6,000 hands. But I didnt come on the forum and declare the profiles crap? I just got busy developing my own.

There are two types of people that buy profiles - The first buy them becaue they have nieher the time or inclination to develop their own, and they want something that wins - NOW! The second types buys the profile not only becausre they dont want to start from scratch, but because they want to learn and gain insight into how profiles are developed. Referring back to the Perfectseries, even though I lost with it I gained, becaue there were things in those profiles that I learned that I didnt know before.

I guess what I am trying to say is NONE of the posters in this thread have any real volume of hands to draw any conclusions about the profile's LONG TERM prospects. Pokergenius never posted any stats for any volume of hands, and what he did post was only for the 15 cent tables, and the other posters still are way below what many OPI vets consider significant. Ther have been profiles that wont for 20,000 hands and then bombed. (I wonder if MLM has tested the HDL series?)

I am sure the ones who are winning with it are willing to let it ride for another 40,000 hands or so, but the ones who are losing with it probably aren't. It is what it is.

^^^^ great post !!

Should be required reading for all those purchasing profiles for the first time

for what its worth I ran Amalgam in various forms for over 300K hands and it returned around 2.2 BB/100. I have no confidence in a profiles posted results until at least 50k hands in on ONE site only, then I'll start to believe Cool

To start with I was having trouble winning anywhere , now its settled down a little. If anything HW has got even easier, it still plays as the maddest site ever with crazy Europeans calling everything down with 72os LOL - they must have gone on an advertising blitz to make up for lost revenue

"Hey, are you a total nutter ? Then play Hollywood, a site made for idiots just like you !!"

Paradise is still as soft as ever, I can hit 5 BB/100 there all day every day Smile

Im actually using a heavily modded Amalgam now, less BAF, less aggression post flop and less starting hands. Doing quite nicely thanks Smile

I am having pretty good luck with a heavily modified xHuey, so I renamed it "UsedToBxHuey" -- I did so well on UB with it that I am retiring and going on tour.

As I do not need "UsedToBxHuey" anymore I will sell only 10 copies for $300 apiece, and disappear from this forum forever
