Ok I had backed up 44 profiles into a sub folder. All well and good, I start up OHI it ask to convert my old profiles. I click on "Yes convert old profiles now" and it does just that, problem is every time I start OHI up it says Found 2 old profiles. And I have to do this every time I start up OHI.
Is there a Limit on the amount of profiles it will covert ? how can I find the 2 profiles it always has to update. |

That's probably because *.dat file and profile name don't match. This can happen if you manually renamed *.dat file from "profiles" folder (you're not suppose to do that).
What you can do is:
1) Open "profiles" folder (default locations is "C:\Program Files\HoldemInspector2\profiles").
2) Take note of *.dat files that are 33 KB, which is the size of the old profile format.
3) Now you have two options:
Option A) If you want to know the name of the original profile, do this:
a) Select Load Profile from Setup menu.
b) Load old profile found in step 2.
c) Take note of the profile name under traffic light (this is the actually profile name).
d) Select Edit Profile from Setup menu.
e) You should see the profile name noted in step c (this profile is in new format).
f) Select old profile found in step 2 (this profile is in old format).
g) Delete the old profile.
OR
Option B) You can simply delete the old profiles found in step 2 from "profiles" folder. You can do this since it's already converted and saved as <profile name>.dat. If you want to know the original <profile name>, then do Option A.
To prevent these problems in the future, please make sure to rename profiles from within the program. _________________ Robert

I have never renamed a profile outside of OPI, and I still get this convert profile dialog every time I load the new version.
I have created 10 or 12 profiles that were copied from other profiles for a starting point. However, this was always done from within the program.
Thanks, Robert.

Same here. I have never renamed a profile. I have obviously created new profiles from others, but all within OPI too.

| Found the cause of the problem: there is a file called "OriginalTA.dat" that you should delete. IF OPI finds it, it converts it to T&A.dat, so the file must have been renamed. |

| Robert, I my case your exactly right. I did indeed re-name one profile out side of the OHI program awhile back. And the other profile OriginalTA that another member posted his findings is most likely the other file, thank you both for your answers. |
